Amongst a haze of new tracks trying to bring hard-hitting, deep meaning to their music, Jason Matu has dropped a feel-good track that celebrates a different haze: the ‘Pink Sun Of Bisbee’. “I really wanted to sonically capture the feel of the town of Bisbee, Arizona,” he explains. “It is a magical place in the mountains just a few miles from Mexico. Time almost certainly travels slower in Bisbee.” The track is a folk-tinted piece of rock n roll that merges twinkling pianos and an addictive off-beat rhythm that the full-band religiously emphasises throughout Matu’s memorable chorus. -Dan Peeke
